my summer evidence ~ 7

getting ready for scout camp.

i can't sew. not yet anyway. brady bought me a sewing machine for christmas THREE years ago that is still sealed up in the box it came in. never been opened. note to self, open sewing machine. it's not that i don't want to sew, it's just low on the list of priorities these days. one day i will sew, just not today.

however, once a year, there is sewing that has to be done. see picture below. i came home from work and found this on the ottoman.

when i bought the shirt, i did what any time saving, sane, full time, working mom would do. . . i paid more money for the shirt that came with the mandatory patches needed already sewn on. HELLO? someone's a thinker. but then there were the troop numbers and all the other stuff baylor had earned to be added to the uniform.

so as my narcolepsia, is that a word? set in, brady, yes brady, began sewing.

the next day, i folded and packed a perfectly sewed uniform for baylor for scout camp. later in the weekend brady and i were talking about how thick the patches were and i remembered why they must have been so difficult to sew. i kept the memory to myself. until of course his sister decided to spill the beans and tell him that they were so thick and hard to sew because they were iron on patches.

which i responded . . . i did what any time saving, sane, full time, working mom would do. i paid more money for iron on patches. DUH.

cause i'm a thinker.

who is pretty dang forgetful apparently.
