i surprised myself with tickets to stadium of fire this year. thanks self! somewhere behind us under those bright lights is carrie underwood. tinted lip gloss + a shirt that required an iron = all dressed up for me.
you were snapping random pictures of me until the lady behind us offered to take a picture of the two of us. thank you random stranger! the night was perfect. we had to park far away, you were worried at first, but i was ok once i realized it meant i got to hold your hand while we walked a good mile to and from the stadium. the crowds meant sitting in traffic for hours but that translated to my rambling on and on about nothing for a good two hours uninterrupted by little voices while you listened only managing to get a few words in. we ran through the crowds which reminded me of days past like 16 years ago when we used to go to concerts, amusement parks and ball games. we laughed out loud because we were living in the moment. we sang out of tune because we didn't care who was listening. and we danced like we were 15 cause we were in love.
at the end of the night you told me that you had so much fun with me and that i looked so happy and alive. you want to know why?
because i was with you.

just got back from the south and thought of you often while i was there! i wasn't in texas but there were lots of accents and southern food!!
