me time.

last night brady went out with the guys! i knew he would be gone late, so i made plans. to do something for myself. something i haven't done since high school. instead of downloading my music from itunes, i bought myself a new cd. one i have been wanting since it came out.

after doing what i do everynight. you know the drill: dinner, baths, homework, stories, quick clean, a load of laundry, etc. i opened my new cd, sat cross legged on the floor, and read the lyrics while i listened. from start to finish. and it felt so good.

i imagine, like most mothers, everything i do ~ i do for someone else. it is what makes me happy. but somewhere along the way the more i did for the new people in my life, the less i did for myself. until tonight. and although it was something small, it did big things for me.
