perspective

the flu has hit our home like a freight train. it has managed to affect everyone in the house. the caboose is carrying pink eye. normally i love pink.

the executive VP missed a meeting yesterday. IT is converting our email server and many appointments have disappeared into a black hole. his calendar is my responsibility. when i realized what had happened i wanted to disappear into that black hole too.

brady normally works from home, but thursday he has a shoot. i have to work. brooklyn can't stay home alone. a clone would be good right about now.

i sat down to pay bills last night. our expenses were higher than last month. after some investigating i realized my insurance had gone up along with my direct tv bill.

sleep is rare at my house. today, i'm tired because after 3 years 2 months and 23 days my baby girl can't sleep through the night.

i was awake this morning at 2:30. i thought of my friend kelly. she recently lost her husband joe. i wondered if she was awake too. sobbing into her pillow, tossing and turning by the minute. had she even been to sleep yet? if she had finally drifted off to sleep, how soon would she awake to realize it wasn't just a bad dream, instead her reality?

i realized this morning at 2:30 that my yesterday wasn't such a bad day after all.

well i don't know... i mean pink eye REALLY sucks. so does the direct tv bill! Really though...you definitely have cause to be stressed, but it's true things can always be worse. ALWAYS.

There is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up, and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity. ~Washington Irving, The Sketch Book, 1820

My daughter is this woman, actually became her as a little girl. You see, she has been given HER trials because she is being sharpened by the MASTER.

Ask this? Think of the best speakers who have ever inspired you and left you feeling uplifted? What did they overcome? ADVERSITY

Love mims
