today is a day full of whys. instead of keeping them to myself, i thought i'd share. lucky you.
why does udot insist on ripping up 100's of miles of I15 all at once? i mean, why not work on one mile at a time? or even just one side of the freeway at a time?
why do i allow my kids to snack on dry cereal 20 minutes after i've vacuumed the floor. dumb. half the bag ends up on the floor. better yet, why do i buy fruity pebbles as one of those cereals? they are the worst.
one fruity pebble + one ceramic tile = sugar dust. sticky sugar dust.
why does everyone have punch cards? so, after i spend $200 in your store you're gonna give me $20 off. one-i want you to keep track. two-just give me a coupon for 10% off. isn't it the same thing? three-don't be getting all mad when i have to dig through my other 417 punch cards at your counter to get my little punch from you. this was your idea, remember?
why would the dollar store have a 10% off sale? really? i mean does it draw in a bigger crowd to sell those paper plates at $0.90 as opposed to a dollar?
then there are the questions from my kids . . .
why is it so hot outside?
why do i have to do the dishes?
why can't i have a cell phone?
why are your teeth yellow?
to which i reply~
because it's august in the desert. you don't, just hand me that dirty egg pan out of the sink so i can make your grilled cheese on it real quick. because you're 10 and 10 year olds play walkie talkie. because there was a time i used to just wet my toothbrush as a kid when my mom told me to get ready for bed, now go upstairs and get ready for bed.
