it's monday

today should be a good day. it is sunny and cool. the sky is bright blue. i got plenty of sleep last night. i have family in from out of town. brooklyn slept through the night. --BUT, i am grumpy. tomorrow is weigh in day, and if that is not enough, it also doubles as tax day. need i say more? yes, i owe. and no, i am not happy about it. then, my kids had what brady calls mattressbackitis-(not wanting to get out of bed) once they were vertical, (stealing of blankets and physically pulling to a standing position) there were tears. following were the random remarks about hating school. (they want to stay home and wreck the house with their cousins)
now we are off to a late start which means we need a quicky breakfast (slim fast) EWWWW, but my kids love those things! they drink it for the fast, not the slim! you know, grab and go. --but we are out.

more tears.

then after many threats to put their clothes on (none of which worked) brady and i both proceed to dress them. (more like wrestling alligators) and yes, we are talking about baylor 11 and braden 7. and surprise! somehow after playing single mom over the weekend, cleaning house and grocery shopping while brady went to his film shoot i didn't get to the folding of the laundry (no socks in their dresser)

more and more tears.

oh and heaven forbid i put some gel in their hair (at least then it looks like we want it to stick straight up like bed head)

more and more and more tears.

some of those were mine.

i realize today that i have two choices: laugh or cry. today i choose cry.

It must be a germ.....yes it is clearly evident. I thought it would go away but it didn't and I've discovered it won't.
Are you saying, "What is she talking about?"
I'm talking about fleeting time, sick cuddly kids, relatives whose kids you don't recognize with deep voices and young women with shapely bodies hanging onto boyfriends or even babies and lastly scrapbooking.....there is no pill for any of it...live with it. :) from a mom who loved you yesterday, love love loves you today and can't get over the gigantic space you take up in my heart tomorrow. sigh*
