growing up in the south, the ground is flatter than flat -(the highest point is most likely a freeway overpass) and the air at times feels wet -(they call that humidity) and the closest thing to a hike is parking at the mall...the one thing utah has on texas is the change of season and the mountains in your backyard.8 more days and the canyon is open. can't wait to get up and away.
